Dan Heck brings his new Organ and Guitar inspired Jazz Trio featuring Stu Shelton and James Martin to the Center for the Arts. He is joined by his wife Rebecca, a new mother who just welcomed their first child into the world in July. Center for the Arts Studios Open to the Public
View artists as they create. Center for the Arts Studios at the Promenade in conjunction with Art in Public Places allows Center for the Arts Member artists — painters, sculptors, photographers and glass artists — to regularly display their work in various storefront locations at the center of the Promenade at Bonita Bay. Artists Studios are open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day and Thursday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and feature demonstrations in each of the studio spaces. New exhibitions, and artists, occupy the studios every 30 to 60 days. The last Thursday of each month kicks off a new group of artists and exhibitions in an evening Studio Walk, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., accompanied by musical entertainment. When Riviera's fiancé, Bernard the Mime, turns up dead and his body disappears, the list of suspects is long — seems like there isn't a man in the place who's not vying for Riviera's affection. With loads of quirky dialogue, zany stage action and a "no murder after all" ending, you will enjoy yourself so much you'll want to bide a wee longer. The Center for the Arts of Bonita Springs is proud to present It's De-Lyrical a One-Woman Cabaret Program. Naples chanteuse Carole Fenstermacher takes the stage in her one-woman cabaret-style program, paying homage to several of the great lyricists of stage and screen. Jazz masters, Carl McVicker on bass and Jimmy Dale (best known for his work as Music Director on The Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour), on piano showcase the wordsmiths of song through some of their brightest, wittiest, funniest and most touching lyrics. It includes both standard and newer songs from on and off Broadway, cabaret and the movies. Cost: $20 members/ $25 non-members.

An Affair of the Arts - Robert Whitman
